A question about tenses

在一句里有两个动词的情况下
不管前一个是什么时态
后一个都是原形
或ing形式
但这要看那句是怎样的一句话

she saw me painting in the classroom
因为在她看到我画画时是过去时,所以用saw,
但当时我画画,是*正在画(ing),所以用painting.

i thought she leave China already.
我以为她已经离开中国了.

The vibrating string makes the air around it vibrate.
