因为用reading 和writing是在偶尔,看某一过程,正在的情况下.而不用ing是在经常性的情况下,与前面时态保持一致,而TOM应该是经常在做这件事,所以不用加ing

表示一般意义上的喜欢,类似习惯,不是爱好,爱好加ing

watch、see、hear...
这样的感官动词+sb.+do sth.像kelly831quai说的表示经常做什么事
+sb.+doing sth.是指看到了这个动作（发生的全过程）
