摘要: 扫描隧道显微镜又叫STM。STM具有惊人的分辨本领,水平分辨率小于0.1纳米,垂直分辨率小于0.001纳米。一般来讲,物体在固态下原子之间的距离在零点一到零点几个纳米之间。在扫描隧道显微镜下,导电物质表面结构的原子、分子状态清晰可见。STM的基本工作原理是利用探针与样品在近距离(小于0.1纳米)时,由于二者存在电位差而产生隧道电流,隧道电流对距离非常敏感;当控制压电陶瓷使探针在样品表面扫描时,由于样品表面高低不平而使针尖与样品之间的距离发生变化,而距离的变化引起了隧道电流的变化;控制和记录隧道电流的变化,并把信号送入计算机进行处理,就可以得到样品表面高分辨率的形貌图像。
