随着化肥、洗涤剂和农药的普遍使用,废水中氮、磷的含量有了显著增加。氮磷的排放对环境造成了严重的污染,其中最为突出的是水体富营养化。因此,现代污水处理不仅需要从污水中去除COD、SS,还要脱氮除磷。由上海市政院1983年设计,1987年投产的龙华污水处理厂,是当时上海最大的污水厂,服务人口为12.4万人,设计规模为每日10.5万立方米,采用A/O法和曝气生物滤池法双路脱氮除磷。近年来,发现生物滤池出水的氮、磷的不稳定,时常达不到出水标准。通过对这一问题的深入研究,寻求出了一个较好的改进方法,使出水水质稳定在国家《城镇污水处理厂污染物排放标准》(GB18918-2002)中二级排放标准。
