not only ...but also (不但...而且) ,两个作主语的名词或代词由not only ...but also 连接时，谓语动词要与后一个主语的人称和数一致。如Not only the students but ( also 可省略）the tescher is active in sports and games .如果不是连接两个主语 就无所谓了，如I like not only English but （also) French .此处的not only ...but also 可以换成both ...and (两者都）
