also, by reading, you gain other english knowledge like how to use the words in a sentence instead of just memorizing them. And novels sometimes contains colloquial (sp? 口语化) english which can enhance your everyday vocab ^^

Well, it is quite impossible to memorize new words by scaning them for only once or twice. I think five or six times are merely adequate to remember an unfamiliar word.

I just suggest that you find some audio materials such as mp3 clips in which a person reads the vocabulary for you, and what you need to do only is to put on your earphone and render the reading one of your background. It is not necessary for you to concentrate on what the guy is reading, which means you can do your own stuff, and you can listen to it before your sleep.

想要学好单词就必须有个好办法，例如要经常复习，即如果我在今天早上背，晚上睡觉前必须重新复习，第二天就可以背新的，但背单词要有周期性，例如我星期一到星期五都背新的，那星期六日就要用这两天时间复习，以
