China reformed it's health system by ending it's traditional barefoot doctor system. Due to the increase of diseases in China, China have no choice but to increase their public medical attention. There are more programs for aiding people with HIV and Hepatitis B.There are also programs for smokers and health care for those were affected by the pollution. A program initiated in 2002 will attempt over the next 5 years to vaccinate all newborns in mainland China
