How to appreciate the poem of William Wordsworth

I know he is a romatic poet,his famous phrase
is that child is the father of man.He was good
at describing scenery of England.But I could
not grasp his main theme cause his verses are
of a lot of unfamilarities to non-English
speaking men like me.
I just can't follow his trains of thought
which jumped up and down,now heaven,now
earth.Is there any special way to
conquer this unruly horse.

In my opinion, Wordsworth aimed at simplicity and purity of the language, fighting against the controvertional forms of the 18th century. The poet was a passionate lover of nature and his descriptions of lakes and rivers, of meadows and woods, of skies and clouds are exquisite.
