农村学校由于在政策法规、师资队伍、设备设施、文化背景和教学理念上都跟城市或县城学校存在很大差距,学生英语口语表达能力较差。在我国新一轮基础教育课程改革背景下,大部分学校的学生收到很好的学习效果,但笔者认为对农村口语教学也帮助不大,原因有客观方面的,又有主观方面的,具体有:1.主管部门对教师资源的分配不均衡,政府缺乏人文关怀;2.农村学校设备设施不完备,与现代信息化要求相差甚远;3.义务教育阶段缺乏英语口语考试,未能引起师生重视;4.农村中缺乏相应的语言环境;5.传统教学环境对英语口语学习有直接的影响;6.学生自身因素是导致口语水平低下的主要因素。在本文中,笔者也提出了解决上述问题的策略:1.发挥政府政策导向作用,合理配置教育资源;2.改革现行的招生及考试制度,全面调动师生的积极性;3.改革课堂教学模式,调动学生对学习口语的兴趣;4.结合农村实际,建立任务型教学的口语教学策略
众所周知,语言是交际的工具。作为教师不但需要给学生提供大量接触语言的机会,更要在口语学习方法上给予指导和帮助。因此,要让学生学好英语口语,教师就必须放在一个真实的语言学习大背景下,有效地组织各种口语活动,实现口语教学情境化,从而提高农村学生的口语表达能力。
