到底是LA好还是SF好?

You cannot go much anywhere in most cities in America with a car. The only exception are probably NY & SF.

However, if you want to work, most professional jobs will require some kind of driving.

You should learn to drive and get your drivers license while in China. Driving lessons, typically over US$100 each, are quite expensive here. Also, if you want to take a driving test here, your English must be good enough to pass the written exam first.

Well, if you are unwilling to adjust to new environment, you would be much better off staying home.

To choose either LA or SF, you should consider what kind of profession and your career goal. SF and Silicon Valley here is much better place for engineering and computer programming. More employers here are likely to sponsor your immigration status conversion, if that is what you wish.
