有人说：think about 一般情况下可以与think of互换，表示“考虑”、
“对……有看法”。如：
What do you think of(about) the film?你认为这部电影怎么样？
又有人说：what do you think of是固定搭配，不能用about
到底是谁对？
大家意见怎么这么不一，有没有比较权威的答案。

如果只说think of ，这时= think about 。
但what do you think of是固定搭配，不能用about
，
这个句子=How do you like...?
我以性命担保，老师反复强调了100次了。
What do you think about……？
意思是“关于……你是怎么样想的。”
如：What do you think about this story？
而What do you think of……？
是“你认为……怎么样”。
它 = How do you like……
如：What do you think of （How do you like）China？
回答：Very much！意思是我非常喜欢！
它们俩是关于对某事的评价。
中文意思上是相同的，没有区别，可以互换，只是表达不同而已。就像“在下”“鄙人”都是“我”的意思，意思相同，表达不同。
不能互换
举个例子,What do you think of the spring?意思是春天使你联想到什么;What are you thinking about?表示你正在考虑什么.两者表示的意思完全不同.
怎样想的 和考虑关于什么当然不能互换..
但语境不同 某种意义上讲 区别不大
what do you think of = how do you think about
think of和think about完全是两个不同的词组，怎么能说一样呢，前者是想起的意思，后者是考虑某事的意思，只能说what do you think of = how do you think about
