关虚拟的结构

1. 虚拟条件句
l 英语中的条件句(condition clause) 可以分为真实性条件句和非真实性条件句，主要由连接词if引导。非真实性条件句用以表 示不可能实现的愿望、想象、建议、目的或极不可能发生的事情。对现在、过去、将来的事实进行虚拟时，主句和if从句中的谓语动词形式列表如下：
(一)对现实进行虚拟
l1. If I were a billionaire, I would buy you a villa.如果我是亿万富翁，我就给你买别墅。
l2. If she had more money，she would set up a school of her own.如果她有更多的钱，她就建一所自己的学校。
(二) 对过去事实进行虚拟
l1. If you had followed the teacher’s advice, you might have passed the test.
l2. If she had told me the truth, I would have helped her.
（三）对将来情况进行虚拟
l1. If it should rain tomorrow，we wouldn’t go to the sea.
l2. If he were to give the lecture tomorrow，he would spend hours preparing for it.
2. 倒装虚拟语气
l条件句中谓语含有助动词were，had或should时，可以省if，将were，had或should移至主语前面，构成倒装句。
lWere they to arrive before we depart tomorrow，we should have a wonderful dinner party.
