或说yes,I've heard about the hot dog.

英国最出名的应该是fish and chips（炸鱼和薯条）

不对，欧美国家里基本都有HOT DOG 和 FISH CHIPS，所以你最好说点什么别的，像西餐之类的，什么什么牛扒之类的。

I know hot dog. --- Wrong 我认识 hot dog. --> Doesn't make sense.

More correct way of saying this: I know what a hot dog is. (This is a general comment about hot dogs.)

'Hot dog' is countable, therefore you need an infinite article 'a' in front.

Hot dogs are popular food in the U.S.
Fish fillets are more popular in the U.K.
