Abstract
In mobile communication system, users can move randomly in the mobile coverage. In order to transmit one call to random walk users, we must have an efficient location management system to track the change of user's position. Location management is one of the important parts of resource management for mobile communication systems. It achieves user’s tracking and ascertains the position of user through two main operations: location updating and paging. The thesis illustrates on the location management schemes and their performance analysis. First we give some information about location management and its analytical models, then a comparison is made among three location updating schemes.
