随着移动通信的发展，在移动通信中提供除语音通信外的新的服务功能成为增长热点，而定位服务是最重要的热点之一。移动通信定位技术作为当前一种非常热门的通信技术。是由于它具有实用性强和政府要求的特点
我的毕业设计的核心任务是：采用先进的GPS定位技术与移动通信网络中已有的定位技术相结合来实现一个基于移动通信网络的GPS定位通信系统。其中包括对各种定位技术的介绍，只依靠移动通信网络就能实现的定位技术、只依靠GPS系统就能实现的定位技术、移动通信网络和GPS相结合的定位技术。
我另外主要提出了通信网络辅助的GPS定位技术在专业的定位终端上的应用方法，移动通信网络和GPS结合的混合辅助定位技术与直放站相结合的对普通手机定位的方法。
另外，我还讨论了移动通信定位技术中多个基站或者直放站情况下，如果要更精确的定位时采用TOA\TDOA测量时间（时间差）然后运用双曲线算法进行了初步的研究下。这些在文章中都有体现。
