在特殊疑问句中哪些情况需要用到助动词，哪些情况不用？

当对划线部分作特殊疑问句提问时，如果划线部分是动词(非进行时语态)，则需要助动词(do does did等)
例如
1.He stands in front of me. (stands in front of me 划线)
Where does he stand? --->第三人称单数用does
2.We went to a party last night (went to a party)
Where did you do last night? ---->过去时
3 I'm making a cake at Tom's. (making a cake)
What are you doing at Tom's? ---->现在时
