II LEGEND
Galahad is conceived when the knight Lancelot, under the spell of a potion, lies with the lady Elaine while thinking she is Guinevere (his beloved, who is also the wife of King Arthur). Galahad is reared by an abbess until, at age 15, he is introduced to his father, who knights him and accompanies him to Arthur's court. There Galahad withdraws a sword from a block of marble, duplicating Arthur's feat of drawing a swor
