drive thur是什么意思？

看到国外的 很多快餐广告牌下面都有这个词
不知作何解释

是drive through 的缩写。意思是1.驾车穿过(某物)：

  • The terrorist drove the car straight through the shop
    window.

2.使穿过；使通过：

to drive a nail through a wall

3.把钉子穿过墙壁

to drive a tunnel through a mountain

4开山凿隧道

to drive a proposal through Parliament

就是drive thru。全称drive through，本意是“驾驶交通工具穿越或穿过某处”。 这里的意思是免下车的(服务)
在美国有很多的免下车餐馆, 免下车电影院(顾客可坐在自己的车上购物、进餐、看电影等等) ，非常流行。

更多的时候看到的是个LED大牌子。上面写drive thur（thru），意思有免下车服务。下面写着open，意思营业中。
