本文从民航机场控制区管理现状开始，研究了目前各机场对控制区的管理办法，分析了现行方法的缺陷，包括通行证防伪差，放行时间段改动不方便，放行人员的职业能力和素养需要监督，放行纪录的存储和查询不便，放行效率低等问题。进而针对以上问题提出将RFID技术应用到民航机场控制区的管理上来，分析了RFID技术的原理以及特点，研究其对应于上述问题的解决办法。后以天津机场为例使用RFID技术为机场控制区设计了一套解决方案，通过分析确定了系统需要实现的功能然后确定了系统的组成，通过数据库的设计和前台设备的应用提高了通行证的防伪能力，实现快速便捷的检验放行，通行纪录的存储和查询，并实现了双向检验，点名，防反传等功能。尽管面临着高成本，技术复杂，无法脱离人工等问题使得RFID技术尚未在世界范围内应用于民航机场控制区管理，但随着时间的推移，科技的进步，RFID在民航机场控制区的管理中存在着很强的应用潜力。
