A strong earthquake measured a magnitude of 8 on the Richter scale struck Wenchuan County in Sichuan Province at 2:28 pm, on May 12th. The area around Wenchuan is seriously affected and destroyed. A large number of people were injured or dead. Until May 15th,2008, the number of people who died of the disaster has reached over 14866 in the area around the center of the earthquake. This earthquake is the strongest one that brings the most injuries and deaths ever in history of Sichuan. However, the disaster has not come to an end yet. The task of calculating the number of deaths and injuries has just begun. Due to the break-up of traffic and communication, there hasn’t been any news about the 100,000 people in wenchuan which is in the center of the earthquake up till now. According to reports sent from the scene, wenchuan has become a hell. 95 percent of the building have been brought down. The majority of people were lying in the ruins while few of them could get themselves moving. T
