谓语动词 单、复数是什么意思啊？

there be 句型包括 there are 和 there is
当be后面是单数时用 is
例如 there is an apple on the tree.
当be 后面是复数时用 are
例如 there are some apples on the tree.
当be后面是不可数名词时 用单数 就是is

1.There are many books on the table.
2.There is a book on the table.

3.There is some coffee in the cup.

谓语动词就是在句中充当谓语的动词啊.如果句中的谓语动词是there be ,那么单数或不可数名词时就用there is,是复数名词时就用there are.

恩 英语中单数指的是主语的单数，比如： i am a teacher。主语是第一人称（我）就用am；He is a teacher .主语是第三人称，用is（他她它）；they/we are teachers。主语是复数的时候用are。

there be句型中道理是一样的be是am is are的统称。
