摘要：本图书馆图书管理系统是一套基于Visual Basic 6.0，数据库为Access的信息管理系统。该系统实现了对图书基本信息管理、读者管理以及图书借阅管理等功能的基本管理，拥有良好的用户界面、层次清楚、结构合理，基本实现了图书馆图书管理的自动化功能。
论文分五个部分对该图书馆管理系统及设计过程进行了阐述。首先分析了该系统的应用现状，说明了开发该系统的目的。接着通过对数据库技术应用现状，开发工具的选择等问题进行分析，确定开发平台。然后具体给出从系统调研、系统需求分析到系统总体设计与实现、测试的各个环节，并结合图表、关键代码与说明，详细说明各个窗体的具体实现。最后则对该系统作出了客观评价，指明系统的现实意义、不足之处以及今后改进的方向。
