is there any 是 there is some 的疑问句形式，意思是“有没有”，不用 is there a跟中文里我们一般提问时不会说“有没有一个”是相类似的。
Is there any bread here中，bread是不可数名词，谓语动词套用名词单数，用is，但bread前不能用定冠词a（a只能用在可数名词前面）。
are there any 后要跟名词的复数形式，如：Are there any books here?

is there any?
表达是不可数名词的单数时使用。
如题目上的BREAD.面包。

is there a?
表达的是可数名词的单数。
如
IS THERE A TOM IN YOUR CLASS?
你班上是否有个人叫TOM？

are there any?
表达是复数时的用法。
如

bread 是不可数名词 所以用is there
any用在疑问句里面
陈述句就是 there is some bread here
如果要用is there a 后面跟可数名词单数
比如: is there a pencil on the desk?
或者跟量词+不可数名词
以bread为例 is there a bar of bread here? 这里有一条面包吗?
are there any 后面跟可数名词复数
比如: are there any people from Beijing?

如果你在找某一个杯子，你可用 Is there a cup on this table?
如果你想知道桌上有没有任何杯子就用Are there any cups on this table?

bread是不可数名词，不可以用a
