8A 英语P40 Line4 有这样一句话： Kitty's teacher Mr Wu invited me to join their school trip to the World Park.
这句话中为什么用join,而不用join in?
join 可以做及物动词，后面直接接宾语，而这个宾语通常是“团体、机构、组织、社团”等名称。
比如: join the army join the club
join 还可以做不及物动词，与in连用，而宾语常常是“活动，游戏”等名词。
比如: join in the activity join in the game join in the sport
