中为什麽在"45 miles south of London"前不用加介词??"45 miles south of London"作什麽成分??

做地点状语,south在这里没有做名字,而是做了方位副词,所以不加介词也不加定冠词

这似乎是新概念第三册的句子，
我个人为这个片语是地点状语，spot的真正宾语是puma，
至于为什么不加介词，怎么说呢……没有为什么，就是这样的表达方式
恕我才疏学浅，可能有不对之处
