应该选A的,LZ理解错了非限制性定语从句是不能用that来引导,可以用which,where等引导,但是这句话前面During the days that followed ,这个that与非限制性定语从句一点关系都没有,前面这句是普通的定语从句,that修饰the days,此时that不可省略,别记混淆,这是定语从句的that.
