我觉得where 和 in which都可以，但是只能选一个，我想问为什么不能用where.

哪里的key？抽屉的！纸就放在那的抽屉！即
the papers are kept in the drawer
which就指的这个drawer，所以选in which

至于where
when，where这两个词引导非限制性定语从句时，作定语从句的状语。举个例子：He was quickly taken to hospital，where a doctor wanted to examine Mr King's legs．金先生很快被送去住院，在那里一个医生要检查他的腿。你看where引导的只是状语而已。

你可比较一下:the paper are kept there
the paper are kept in the drawer
显然第2句更具体和符合习惯，所以选择in which

语法上是两个都对的，但是要更准确的话就用介词形式的，毕竟where在很多场合都能用。
