Mr Thomas Chia, a brain specialist, was taking a trip to Japan. He took a taxi to Changi Airport to catch his afternoon flight. Having a few minutes to spare before his departure, he walked over to a weighing machine and stepped on it. He inserted a coin and out came his fortune card which read, “You are a doctor, you weigh seventy-four kilograms and you are going to catch the afternoon flight.”
Dr Chia could not believe his eyes! He was astonished because all of the information on the card was correct. He went to the men’s room to change his clothes and wore a hat, hoping he would not be recognized.
Once again, he stepped onto the scales. He inserted his coin and, this time, his second fortune card read, “You are still a doctor, you still weigh seventy-four kilograms, but you have just missed the afternoon flight.”
