杰克·伦敦（Jack London，1876年1月12日-1916年11月22日），原名为“约翰·格利菲斯·查尼”。美国作家，著有《马丁·伊登》、《野性的呼唤》等50多本书。商业作家的先锋。
杰克·伦敦的身世是有争议的。一般认为他的父亲是星象学家威廉·查尼。伦敦在成人之前并不知道自己的父亲是谁，而且威廉．查尼本人不承认伦敦为其子。当时的市政纪录及出生证明都在1906年旧金山大地震的时候被毁掉，于是无可查证。现在唯一的办法就是DNA亲子鉴定。目前还没有这样的结果。

Jack London (12 January 1876 – 22 November 1916) was an American author who wrote The Call of the Wild and other books. A pioneer in the then-burgeoning world of commercial magazine fiction, he was one of the first Americans to make a lucrative career exclusively from writing.
Jack London was deserted by his father when he was 10. He was raised in Oakland, California by his mother Flora Wellman, a music teacher and spiritualist. Because Flora was ill, Jack was raised through infancy by an ex-slave, Virginia Prentiss, who would remain a major maternal figure while the boy grew up. Late in 1876, Flora married John London, a partially disabled Civil War veteran. The family moved around the San Francisco Bay Area before settling in Oakl
