The 2008 Olympic Games is drawing near. All of us are looking forward to it. In order to host a successful Olympic Games, we need to do a lot of hard work. For example, we should improve the traffic condition in Beijing.
I think we can have a better traffic as long as we take steps in three different ways. First, we need to control the rapid growth of the number of private cars, because too many private cars will lead to serious traffic jams, as well as air pollution. Second, we must make greater efforts to develop mass transportation system, such as bus
lines and subway lines. Third, we must educate the public to let them better understand the traffic laws and regulations.
If the above-mentioned measures are successfully taken, I’m sure the traffic situation of Beijing will be much better by 2008.
