another, the other 的辨析

another:one···another一个，另一个····（可能是有三者或三者以上的用法）
the other:one ···the other一个，另一个···（两者中的）

another 代词。是泛指两者中的另一个，并不是指一个具体的、确定的东西。
例：This pencil is too expensive,please show me another one.(其他铅笔有很多，但并不是指具体的某一支）
the other 代词。指两者中的另一个，是确指。当有the other 出现时，它已经确认是某一个物品了。
例：There are two girls there.One is Lily,the other is Sarah.

补充：the others
代词。它指两堆物品中的一堆，是确指。
Many things are there.Most are shoes,the others are scarfs.

others
代词。泛指一堆物品。

other
形容词，其他的。修饰名词。
