You could to to chinese class and follow your teacher,that's a direct way to study chinese. But I think practice is more important, so you can make friends with chinese, listen to the radio, watch TV, or read chinese stories etc.When you meet any trouble, you may ask a chinese teacher for help, or use a dictionary, you can also ask your friends for help.
