绿色交通应该用green transport还是green transportation?

我查了一下牛津中阶词典,发现transport作名词解释为1.运输 2.交通工具而transportation没有单独解释,是在transport这个单词里作为美语提到了一下.那么网上很多的表示绿色交通green transportation是不是也可以说green transport呢?

transportation在简明英汉词典中解释为1.运送, 运输The transportation of goods by air costs a lot.(航空运输货物花费很高。)2.运输工具The transportation took off with its cargo at midnight(运输机载着货物深夜起飞了。)3.流放, 放逐In the past, British convicts could be sentenced to transportation.(过去, 英国的囚犯可能会被判流放。)
transport意为 运送; 流放 A bus transported us from the airport to the city.(一辆公共汽车把我们从飞机场送到城里。) 使万分激动The beautiful music transported the audience.(优美的音乐使听众心旷神怡。)
所以 绿色交通应该为green transportation.
