而I run much faster than Mary,为什么要有much，more和much有什么区别- -？？
那为什么不能用more expensive

I run much faster than Mary

much是表示程度的.可以不加,加了会让这句话中的I跑的比Mary快得多

而Computers are more expensive than TV sets中的more是表示比较级

因为expensive是多音节词,所以用more expensive做expensive的比较级

像expensive这样的多音节词还有很多,如beautiful--美丽,比较级就是more beautiful

much 是用来修饰比较级的，也可用much来修饰more,但是反之就不行
