不都是缺点、短处吗？？这俩词有什么具体地区别没？？一个给人用？？一个给物用？？

disadvantage主要的意思是指不利的情况和不利的条件, 而shortcoming一般是指缺点， 不一定都要指人，在运用的时候shortcoming往往用复数shortcomings.
例如：The other candidate's main disadvantage is her age另一候选人的主要不利条件是她的年龄问题.

He sharply pointed out the shortcomings in the work他一针见血地指出这项工作的缺点。

disadvantage还有一种解释是 不方便之处
而shortcoming 就多指人了
