塔儿寺介绍

塔儿寺位于湟中县城鲁少尔镇的莲花山山坳，是青海省和中国西北地区的佛教中心和黄教的圣地，也是中国黄教--喇嘛教格鲁派的六大寺院之一。整座寺依山叠砌、蜿蜒起伏、错落有致、气势磅礴，寺内古树参天，佛塔林立，景色壮丽非凡。塔尔寺的酥油花雕塑也是栩栩如生，远近闻名。

塔儿寺藏语称“衮本贤巴林”，意为十万佛像弥勒洲。它坐落在青海省湟中县鲁沙尔镇西南隅的莲花山坳中，据省会西宁市26公里，是我国藏传佛教格鲁派(俗称黄教)创始人宗喀巴大师的诞生地，也是藏区黄教六大寺院之一。

灵塔，专门用于保存活佛遗体的佛塔。藏传佛教的灵塔式样基本相同，通常由塔座、塔瓶、塔刹三部分组成。

菩提树，在《梵书》中称为“觉树”,被虔诚的佛教徒视为圣树,万分敬仰。传说佛祖释迦牟尼就是在菩提树下修成正果(佛)的。
