我感到心情很乱,因为在中国的时候,我是一个straight A的学生,但是到了美国,很多课,连及格我都感到吃力,我突然有一种从天堂掉到地狱的感觉。我这才终于知道了,原来从头再来是这么难的事,而且学习一项语言也不是想象中的那么的简单。后来,在美国的时间长了,学学也慢慢跟上进度了,我也就越来越习惯了。
这件事对我的人生很重要的原因是,我觉得这是我人生很大的转折点,让我从一个不懂事的小孩,锻炼成了一个自立能力强的少年。在中国,我怕黑,我不敢自己一个人在家,但是在美国,我不怕了;在中国,我自己不会做饭,在美国,我学会了;在中国,我从来都不自己收拾自己的房间,在美国,我也学会了。在美国我学到也懂得了很多很多,我学到了坚持,懂得了坚强,我学到了只有付出跟努力,才会得到想要的。

I felt very confused because when I was in China, I was a straight-A student. However, when I came to the U.S., I began to realize I was not putting in much effort into my schoolwork. I started getting bad grades. I felt like my whole world had suddenly been turned upside down - nothing was familiar to me anymore. After awhile, I began to feel that my language skills were slowly but surely improving, and I slowly began to get used to my new life.
