我感到心情很乱，因为在中国的时候，我是一个straight A的学生，但是到了美国，很多课，连及格我都感到吃力，我突然有一种从天堂掉到地狱的感觉。我这才终于知道了，原来从头再来是这么难的事，而且学习一项语言也不是想象中的那么的简单。后来，在美国的时间长了，学学也慢慢跟上进度了，我也就越来越习惯了。
这件事对我的人生很重要的原因是，我觉得这是我人生很大的转折点，让我从一个不懂事的小孩，锻炼成了一个自立能力强的少年。在中国，我怕黑，我不敢自己一个人在家，但是在美国，我不怕了；在中国，我自己不会做饭，在美国，我学会了；在中国，我从来都不自己收拾自己的房间，在美国，我也学会了。在美国我学到也懂得了很多很多，我学到了坚持，懂得了坚强，我学到了只有付出跟努力，才会得到想要的。

I felt very confused because when I was in China, I was a straight-A student. However, when I came to the U.S., I began to realize I was not putting in much effort into my schoolwork. I started getting bad grades. I felt like my whole world had suddenly been turned upside down - nothing was familiar to me anymore.
