My olumpic dream

是“Olmpic"I have known a lot about the Olympics since I was a little boy. I can still remember the first time I got up at 3 o’clock in the early morning to watch the opening ceremony of the Atlanta Olympics at the age of six.

Since that time, the Olympics, in my point of view, has been holy and distinguished. Though nearly all the sports practiced nowadays are competitive, they rarely lead to violence. On the contrary, they often create goodwill between nations and even can stop an ongoing war!

On the other hand, the games show equality and human dignity. Facing the sports rules, athletes have no difference of nation, color of skin or age.

However, in my childhood, I felt that the Olympics were so far away from me. It was holy and distinguished, but it seemed to be irrelevant to me. But one day, something changed my mind.

July 13, 2001 is a day all Chinese should remember. China succeeded in gaining the chance to host the Olympics
