The locked-rotor assembly shall be connected to a source of supply as described in Clause25.1 and operated, as rapidly as possible, through 10 cycles at a rate of 1 cycle per 0.1 minute of the protector. For protective circuits incorporating thermostats that provide an extended "off" period (for example,over 10 minutes) the test may be terminated upon opening of the thermostat provided that
a) a sufficient number of cycles have been obtained to establish that continuous automatic recycling does not occur
b) the components comprising the protective system have been individually subjected to 50 cycles of operation,representative of the locked-rotor load controlled.
Exception:If a delay feature grater than 0.1 minute is part of the protective device the assembly shall be operated through 10 cycles at that rate.
27.9 Motor-compressor having dual-voltage ratings shall be tested at each voltage. A three-phase assembly shall be tested a
