上大学是enter college还是attend college？这两者有什么区别？

enter college＝新生入学
attend college＝来学校上课

如果只是一句的话，我比较倾向于用enters，表示他是这个村子里第一个能进入大学读书的人。有强调“进入”的意思。我觉得如果说他是村里第一个上过大学的人，这时候整句改成过去式然后用attend比较合适。i.e.
Tom was the first person in the village who attended college.

一点拙见，请多指教。

应该是enter，我记得我们老师说过，具体为什么，我忘了，或许是固定搭配吧

用attend会更地道,(用enter也没错)
