看到了这么一句话:

Year-end pay on Wall Street will be higher than it would have been had it not been for the government and mergers.

对这个句子的结构有点不是很理解。麻烦分析一下,为什么要这么说?
那,为什么中间要用 would have been, 其后又用 had been 呢?

句子的主句应该是"year-end pay will be higher than..."
" it would have been "是than的宾语。
"had it not been for the government and mergers"应该是倒装条件句放到后面了吧~
翻译过来应该是:如果不是因为政府和并购,华尔街的年终报酬会比原来的多。

好乱,看来我这4级过的很不实在啊,这句子还是断不好。。。。
