受亚洲股市暴跌的影响，27日伦敦股市开盘大跌，随后反弹，100种股票平均价格指数最终报收3852.59点，比前一日下降30.77点，跌幅为0.79％。

由于国际原油期货价格跌至每桶62美元以下，能源股难以反弹。英国燃气公司下滑7.39％，英国凯恩能源和英国塔洛石油的跌幅也在5％以上，英国石油公司和壳牌也有一定程度的跌幅。矿业股也显著下挫，瑞士斯特拉塔和南非龙明分别下滑8.81％和7.41％。
