绝对不行.
首先I konw the student whose article was published .中whose 指代the student's.用of which 的which本身就错了,不能用来指人.如果用 of whom的话,就变成指代of the student article,不存在这种说法,所以错误.用whose就好了.
我觉得用Of whom比较好，因为这里你是指代人的，然后又因为在Of后面用宾格，所以用who的宾格whom比较好。
