The Bridge to Terabithia tells a story about a couple of good friends. Jess is a boy who loves painting very much. Although the life is hard and nobody appreciates his talent, there is still hope and fantastic pictures in his heart. Leslie is an active girl with romantic fantasies. She has unique personality and can write very well. The two children who are freaks in their classmates became best friends soon, and create a wonderful magical world. In the world which simply belongs to themselves, they can do anything: repulse squirrel monsters, frustrate the giants, and defeat the king of the dark. Meanwhile they are becoming more and more confident in the real world, too.

Everything should go in a happy way as we hoped, but a selfish behavior of Jess changes this. Leslie is drowned, while Jess is happily visiting the museum with the music teacher who he likes very much.
