为什么李小龙LEE,不用LI?

李小龙的“李”用英文写出来是“LEE”
“张”用英文写出来是“cheung”
比如NBA尼克斯有个队员叫大卫.李
他的名字是Lee ,David
那么 郭GUO着个字,,用英文可以是什么呢

在国外，非华人读不懂我们的姓...华侨都是这么用的，比如李是lee , 林是lim , 梁是 leong , 陈是 tan ....
如果是“郭”这个字的话，用 Quek

这英语的习惯 。
我是英语教师不明可再问。

LEE的读音符合中文李的读音

ee has a longer sound than "i" and as a result they use lee but not li.
(My grandpa's family name is lee, he is working in foreign country and his name is written as lee but not li)

习惯
