盐法的变迁是与盐业收入在北宋财政中的地位、作用以及与当时的社会政治经济状况密不可分的。
北宋政府不断变革盐法，其最终目的就是最大限度地获取盐利，以保证国家的财政支出。
北宋前期主要以官卖为主，但已经出现入中、折中等商卖的现象；北宋中前期庆历年间，范祥一度推行钞盐制，进行通商。但到了熙丰年间，政府则加强了对食盐的官购官销，这期间的盐法被称为“熙丰盐法”。

【英文摘要】 There were two greatly influential innovations of salt management in Jiangxi region in NorthSong. During the period of Jiayou, the main character of the salt law that pursued by Cai Ting was the strengthening government monopoly on Huainan salt sold in Jiangxi.
