UC知道fedora9 安装Nvidia驱动

我下载了NVIDIA-Linux-x86-177.80-pkg1.run ，然后就#sh NVIDIA-Linux-x86-177.80-pkg1.run
然后就出现下面的
ERROR: You appear to be running an X server; please exit X before

THE NVIDIA DRIVER in the README available on the Linux driver
download page at www.nvidia.com.
请问我应该怎么解决，还有怎么才能安装成功nvidia？

我在unbuntu下面是按Alt + Ctrl +F4，关掉Gonome，直接用控制台安装的
]#vi /etc/inittab
]#ini:3:initdefault
]#reboot
第一个错误,像是没退出图形界面。你还好，还有图形界面，我现在一开机就文本界面，还在努力中。
