为什么这里用you are ill，而不是you were ill？不是虚拟语气吗

前面的it were for the fact that就表明了虚拟语气，
后面的you are ill只不过是充当the fact的内容，the fact现实当然要用一般现在时。

句子是虚拟语气，但这个情况比较特殊，虚拟中有真实的成分！the fact that 表明是事实，实际情况就是生病了，这不是虚拟的！

虚拟语气在，if it were not for…已经体现。

这里的 If it were 中的 were 并不是过去式。是假设语气的固定说法。
比这个更特殊的，如果主语是 I 表示假设条件时任然是用If I were。。。
