英文迟到检查 高手进!!!!!

I really didn't mean to be late.
I almost ran to the bus stop, but the NO. 12 bus kept me waiting for 15 minutes. After I got on the bus, it went more and more slowly, there were too many cars in the way, and all moved slowly. The only thing I could do is sit inside the bus and wait, it's too far from school, or I would prefer walking.
When I finally got off the bus, it's 19:40, that's too bad. I had never been so late before. Our English teacher didn't mind that, maybe he minded, but I wished that he would understood it was not my fault.
Actually, I was only late for 1 second. This was my first time to be late.
I think that to be late is disrespect to teachers, but sometimes we couldn't expect that well.
