....总共就俩词，哪里来的四个？

other 和 the other,另两个就是这俩的复数形式咯。

就字面上看就知道the other比other多了个the，因此有个具体的范围，值得是某一个特定群体里的‘其他人或物'。

1. would you like this drink? no i want the other one. (面前俩饮料，你要这个，不要，我要另外一个，这个饮料依然在这个特定群体里，群体名字叫两瓶面前的饮料）

2. would you like this drink? no i want other drinks. (面前一菜单，上书饮料琳琅满目，某帅哥说，你要和这个饮料吗？头一扭，不要，我要喝其他的。这时候就广泛很多了。）

the others, others, 通常是指人，极少指物。

1. I will tell the others you slept in the toilet, haha (我要告诉其他人你睡在了厕所里！这里the others可能指得就是class mates，有暗喻具体圈子的意味）

2. others may think that you are a bad guy so stop doing this. (其他人会闲言闲语，认为你是坏人，所以不要再这样了）这里其他人范围就广了去了，全中国人都可以叫others。

one… the other 只有两个
some… the others 有三个以上
one… another，another…
some… others，others…
others = other people/things
the others = the rest 剩余的全部

1) 泛指另一个用another。
2) 一定范围内两人(物)，一个用one，另一个用the other。
3) 一定范围内三者，一个用one，另一个用one (another
